The lake has an accessible fishing pier and boat launch. No Gasoline motors allowed:

Approximately 10 miles east of Richwood, WV.

Directions from Richwood travel east on State Route 39 and 55 approximately 8 miles to Forest Road 77, then 2 miles to cold water fishing at Summit Lake.

  • Don't Forget To Get A Fishing License!

  • Summit Lake is stocked with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.

  • Check the ice depth and make sure Summit lake is SUITABLE FOR ICE FISHING

  • THE MINIMUM ICE THICKNESS FOR SAFE FISHING IS FOUR INCHES.
