From Southside, was home this summer and only saw two people I knew. That's what happens when you move away and get old. There are so many trees.

While browsing earlier Guestbook entries I read an entry from Roger, Class of '63? Who now lives in Claremont. We also are former Richwooders who live in Claremont. Give us a "holler" Roger.

Drew up in Fenwick, Grandpa drove the old #3 locomotive ( Shay engine ) for Ely Thomas Lumber Co. Only went to RHS for one year, then moved to Miami, Fla. Great to see this site. Miss West Virginia and will retire there in a few years.

Just wanted to alert all of you Nicholas County. folks to the book that will be coming out in the spring called , Nicholas County... The book is being done by a guy by the name of Mark Romano, he also did the Webster County book which is really cool in case you have not seen it yet... I understand that advance orders on the Nicholas County book will be cheaper but am not sure about that yet.. Will post when I find out... It will be a pictorial history of Richwood and surrounding towns... Betsy <betsymaisel13aol.com> - Saturday, August 16, 2003 at 22:52:39 (EDT)

Hope everyone had a great time at the weeklong celebration.. I'll see you all next year at the festival and we'll make it like old times. I'll see everyone else around hunting season. That is if I can get out of the desert in time.

This is my second visit to this website. It's better than the first. If there is any of my old Faulkner School mates on Hinkle mountain online and reading this, please e-mail me. Thanks webmaster for a fantastic website. It seems we present and former Richwooders love the ol town still..

Great to be back in Richwood I missed it. People told me it didn't seem like the same town without me something about the absence of a pungent odor? Anyways CRF was great and will be there next year!

I love this site more & more. It really is one the most first-rate web sites that I have ever been to. I was born in Richwood & ended up somewhere else in the US at a very very young age. I feel so fortunate that there is somewhere I can go to that lets me see where I came from. I am from Richwood W. VA. & very proud of it. Keep up the good work.

Love the site and this town!!!. For those of you wondering about WVAR radio. Their radio tower collapsed during the ice storm back in Feb. knocking them off the air. As far as I know, a new tower has not been built. The owners had applied for permission from the fcc on 4/16/03 (2 months after the fact)to be silent for 6 months. This gives the station owner time to erect a new tower. According to my calculations 6 months is up in September. We lost our local paper again, are we going to lose our radio station? I hope WVAR is back on soon.

I just found your website and was so happy. Since my Dad and Mom [Hyer and Gladys Sutton] passed on I don't get over there often, but will always be home. I miss all the people there and have great memories of growing up there. Someone was asking about Helen Long, Cook. She is in NC. near Raliegh-Durham and Othella Holder, Hilton is near Ravenswood,WV. I have Helen's address. Barbara Hilton, Thayer lives about four miles from me. We talk every few days. Keep up the good work.
