I'm a southern girl who married a native Richwooder (William Matthew Losch RHS '95). Great town, great guy, not sure about all the snow (ha, ha). Great website!

I lived in Tioga, but went to high school in Richwood and have many happy memories of that town. I still have relatives living there and come back at least once a year to visit. I graduated in 1953 and was wondering if anyone had planned a 50th reunion for our class this year.

I was born in Richwood and attended Tannery 1950 & 1951 in the first grade. I would like to see some pictures of that class. Thanks, Stephen Blake Lexington, Kentucky.

I actually grew up in Craigsville, but the place to go was Richwood. I love it and always will. So many wonderful memories growing up. The Lumberjacks are the best, hands down. This site is great, love all the old pics. I love history, especially when it is this close to home!!

Our family moved to Richwood in 1972 from Wyoming County. My fondest memories are when I was Cherry River Festival Queen in 1975. I met so many wonderful people and had so much fun. I guess that was when I really realized what the people of Richwood were really like, wonderful people and lifelong friends. I just wish things could be like they used to. I miss it! I am also trying to get some information for my brother Jerry Mullins. Jerry graduated in 1978 and is trying to find out if his class is going to have a 25 year reunion. If anyone has any information about this I would appreciate it very much if you would let me know as soon as possible. Jerry lives in Baltimore and would like to attend if they are going to have one. I live in Summersville now and would love to hear from some of my friends. Email me sometime!

Wonderful site! It is great to see so many people have the same fond memories of Richwood as I do. I would recomend the Oakford Pool Hall as an additional listing for places to eat! I remember those wonderful Stewart Sandwiches and Pickled Eggs when I was living there.

My name is Judy, I´m the daughter of Clarence Carr. The last time I visited Richwood was March 1993, just in time for the big snow storm!!! What a beautiful sight!!! I live in Germany with my husband, two daughters and son. If any body sees my aunt (Marie Tinney) tell her, I sent her a dozen emails, WHERE IS SHE!!! If any body would like to write my dad an email, send it to my email address.

Glad to see this site. Being a Richwooder by birth, transplant or association is a special earthly honor. Thank God for our rich history and memories. We are all fortunate to have such a great "sense-of-place".

Hello: my name is Clarence Carr and I graduated from Richwood, WV. in 1958. I lived near Curtin Mountain, which is near Craigsville, WV. I entered the US Amy in 1960 and went to Germany and never to return. My brother in law and sister, Bud and Marie Tenney live on the Greenbrier Road. I still have fond memories of the beautiful mountains and valleys and of the wonderful people who call Richwood home.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!! I am finally taking the time to send a note on how wonderful it is to be back in contact with my roots. I can feel that West Virginia earth between my toes now. You can take the kids out of West Virginia but you will never take West Virginia out of the kids and certainly not if they ever had anything to do with and places in or around Richwood. I will always love the person I have become because of all my friendships formed in Richwood. I'll be there Aug 1st & 2nd for the RHS Class of 63 Reunion. Glad I got in the guestbook because one of our missing classmates Douglas Rudd now in Germany had also signed the book. You have a wonderful site and as Bob Hope would say "Thanks for the memories"! I love you all!

Richwood, what a great little town with charm and atmosphere. I will enjoy a week there in June. I left in 1964 and spent 30 years in the US Army. I am now employed with Department of Defense in Wuerzburg, Germany. Richwood is still home to me after all of the years. Great people and good friends. A person does not need anything else.

Great web site. It is good to hear from other Richwooders. Nice to remember the great times I had growing up there. It was a great time and place and still has beauty beyond comparison. Keep adding to the web site. Duane Landacre
