(#421) I wanted to wish all my friends and family back home a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know our family has experienced unbelievable loss this year and I wanted you to all know you are in my prayers. Distance does not keep the heart and love from being there when a family needs each other. I pray our boys come home to their families as soon as possible. May God bless you all and keep you safe in 2005. Rhonda Hamon G - Sunday, December 26, 2004 at 18:02:18 (EST)
(#420) HO! HO! HO! Happy Holidays and A Merry Christmas Richwood and Richwooders........ Hey folks... A friend sent this to me. It is a really beautiful card. I just hope it comes to you so you can get to it. Let me know what u think. I also learned something new today about the Christmas Holidays. Do any of you know what the day after Christmas is called in some of the other countries? It's called Boxing Day: the day that people open up their Christmas gifts. It's a symbolic way of interpreting the birth. Jesus was born... and a few days later, as the Bible states, the wisemen came bearing their gifts to the new born child. Enjoy. (#410) I love this site. It brings back fond memories of my father and his family. My favorite memory as a child is driving from Lewisburg where we lived to my grandparents (Homer and Minnie Perrine) in Richwood. Especially in the snow! My Dad always told me Richwood was a thriving little town. Now I believe him! Glenna Perrine Barrentine Destin, Florida - Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 13:03:28 (EST)
(#409) I know I'm the oldest one writing in this Guest Book. I'm 84, live in Gastonia, NC. I taught at Laurel School, Craigsville Elem. Fenwick Elementary and RHS. I moved here to be near my daughter, Lou Lynne Doss, and family. I still substitute and sometimes in the same high school where Lou Lynne teaches. I like the weather and the people here, especially the people I've met in church. I'd like to see Richwood revive to the good 'ole times. I'm thankful I raised my family in Richwood. They were afraid to do anything drastically wrong, because the whole town would squeal on them. Most people my age are gone or in the nursing home. I'm thankful for this site to find out where former students live. Woodyardfr@aol.com Frances Woodyard Gastonia,, NC - Monday, December 13, 2004 at 02:18:06 (EST)

(#407) My great-grandfather, Homer Hayes, was the band director at Richwood High School from about 1930-1933 until he moved to Huntington. He won 1st place in Class B band competition at the Huntington Tri-State Band Festival in 1931. Does anyone know anything about this man, or his time at the school? ANYTHING will be appreciated because I'm compiling a Hayes family history. Thank you. Please e-mail me at dogck95@aol.com Dana Smith Huntington, WV - Friday, December 10, 2004 at 22:59:57 (EST)
