"Hominy Falls, West Virginia"
Some members of the mine rescue during the Hominy Falls mine flood in May 1968 (1) George Wills, (2) Lowell Synder, (3) Bill Bowers....Someone else may remember the names of the others.

Hominy Fall MinersA dramatic rescue at Hominy Falls, Nicholas County, West Virginia, May 7,1968, 25 miners were trapped in the mine owned by the Gauley Coal and Coke Company after a miner accidentally bored into a wall of water. Recovery effort began on May 7 and 15 miners were rescued after 5 days. After 10 days 6 of the 10 remainder miners were alive and that was a miracle within itself.......
