Here is Billy Hammonds and Raymond Fletcher. Billy reports that this photograph was made in June 1937. His entire working life was spent in the logging industry for several companies in the county. The cork shoes he so proudly displays helped the loggers keep their footing on logs when working around log landings. The price for cork shoes in 1937 was $8.00.
