Black Bear
RichwoodWest Virginia
Black Bears are generally solitary animals except when mating or sows with cubs. They try to avoid humans so the chances of meeting a black bear are relatively low, and black bears are considered non-aggressive except when injured, protecting themselves and their cubs. Daily movements are influenced greatly by temperature and food availability.
